Another year

It has been a while since I’ve checked in. Much apologies. Life events were taking place and an unbelievable fast pace and I had to make a choice on where to direct my focus. With things settling down, however, I plan to get back into the swing of things.

A few things:

  • A heartfelt good-bye. I said farewell to my work family of the past six years. It was a privilege to work with these wonderful people and service our community as a public servant, as a public library assistant. I have learned a lot of things during my time here and I know that I will be able to apply this knowledge and experience to my new career path.
  • A change in perspective. Unfortunately, I have decided to withdraw from college and try a different educational path the achieve the career I want. It was getting to be too expensive and with those unexpected life changes hard decisions were made. But training and education does not necessarily mean I need to be a college student. It was just one career option out of many. This shift in educational training is unconventional but not necessarily ineffective. I hope that one day I may be able to finish my schooling and earn my degree but until then I have a positive outlook on my next steps.
  • A new beginning. With this shift in both educational and career goals, it’s a new beginning which can be scary but it is also an exciting time. There are many possibilities, many directions I can take my first step, and I’m looking forward to the challenge and curious to see where this new journey will take me.
